Raw Cinnamon Hearts (low fat, vegan)

Believe me, this cinnamon hearts are the perfect breakfast for Valentine’s Day (or any other day). So cute, really simple to prepare and the taste is phenomenal!

Just before last year’s Fruits and health festival in Slovenia, Alicia (the head chef) has been on a short pre-festival vacation at my home. We were travelling around, ate lots of delicious fruits, having fun, and of course we were also creating together in the kitchen. She had a great idea on how to upgrade Robert’s cinnamon rolls. And we quickly put that idea into action. It was a success! Here is the proof.

Chris took this photo right before the festival. I am the one next to Chris, Alicia is next to me and on the right you can see Teja (the main organizer of the festival). Teja and Chris were also very excited over rolls as well.

Since Valentine’s Day is coming, I changed and slightly improved them. I added carob powder for more chocolate flavor and formed them in hearts that resemble little owls. :)

Aren’t they cute?! And the taste is phenomenal.

Preparation is quite simple. Just peel the bananas, cut them up into three parts lengthwise and put them in the dehydrator for about 8 hours at 115 F (46°C). Once dried, spread the cream on them, made of date paste, vanilla and carob powder and cinnamon. Roll them and shape them into hearts and that’s it!

You just HAVE TO try this yummy deliciousness. ;)

Happy Valentine’s Day! ♥
